Since I'm using Avast on my tablet, I'm leaning towards that just because it's familiar and it seems to have good ratings (although people have complained about the pop-ups, which it sounds like you might have the option of quieting?). I've checked out other threads and keep seeing Avast, AVG, and Bitdefender recommended.
In the past, I've used Norton and never had a problem with it (that I know of), though I'd prefer not to pay anything this time around. My understanding is that Windows 8.1 comes with its own "Windows Defender" program, but the general consensus is it's not that great. I just got a Lenovo Flex 2 with Windows 8.1, and I'd like to install some antivirus/whatnot programs.
